The "Green Screen of Death" has become a nightmare for many iPhone 13 Pro and 13 Pro Max users. While most official service centers recommend a costly screen replacement, professional technicians have discovered a much more affordable and permanent hardware fix.

​This issue isn't usually caused by a broken glass or liquid damage. Instead, it is a hardware failure within the display flex cable. Specifically, certain synchronization signals (like V-Sync) or power lines fail to reach the IC, causing the screen to turn solid green, white, or yellow. By using a bypass jumper, we can restore these signals manually.

Step-by-Step Jumper Procedure

​Follow these professional steps to fix the display issue permanently:

  1. Screen Removal: Carefully open the iPhone. Since the 13 Pro series has very thin bezels, use a heating pad at 75°C to soften the adhesive. Be extremely careful with the Face ID sensors.
  2. Exposing the Traces: Locate the display flex cable at the bottom of the screen. Using a fine blade under a microscope, gently scratch the insulation to reveal the copper points shown in the diagram.

  6. Insulation & Protection: Once the screen displays a perfect image again, apply UV Green Oil (Solder Mask) over the wires. Cure it with a UV light for 60 seconds. This prevents the jumpers from moving or shorting out during final assembly.
  7. Testing & Reassembly: Test the touch sensitivity and brightness levels. If everything looks sharp, clean the internal frame and re-seal the phone with a new waterproof gasket.
